Speedrun "Damn BOARS" stage.

Can anyone supply me with a good step-by-step guide to becoming successful in World IV? I know that there are balancing updates coming aswell, but what skills should I buy in order. Is it more important to go after yeomanry or something else? Should everyone in a village strive for rustroot? I'm just trying to guess how i should maximize my time so I won't be left in the dust.

If you do not have a well planned village then you might be better off scouting for high Q resources like Clay - that way you will be able to trade for all the metal you need.

3. Create char
4. Play excessively/obsessively
5. ...

This helped me a bit. Try drawing how your village would be, with all the facilities included.

There's no telling what changes in balance have taken place yet, but if certain grindy aspects are similar to World 3, you'll be left in the dust either way within a few weeks. Even without their stats, the former major powers know how to distribute work and do things efficiently as a team.

I don't know if everyone's spawned closer to the center of the world, if they're scattered all over, or if the world is even as big as it was before. If you see other humans, you may want to get yeomanry since they probably will steal your rabbit furs and taproots if they're left unguarded. After all, we're all fresh characters who need that kind of newby stuff. If you can live with those kinds of losses, whatever, don't waste 4k LP on yeomanry yet.

You pretty much can't go wrong with getting your exploration and survival to at least 10 so you'll be able to forage a few things and craft things at base quality. Otherwise, just play the way you've always been playing (with more caution around animals since they can apparently kill you now).
RIP
