Staking Claims

Postby maniacal1 » Wed Jan 12, 2011 9:16 am

The wiki isn't very helpful, and the sticky in this forum is seriously outdated, so I'm asking here.

I just learned yeomanry, set up a claim, then went to expand it. The thing that is throwing me off is the little color wheel and the three boxes on bottom: trespassing, vandalism, theft. I assumed you assigned threat levels according to the colors that you then assign to people you know, but it doesn't seem to save. Plus the sticky, at last update, mentions that as not working.

Basically my little farmstead has myself and two friends who maintain it and sorta group up to keep it updated and stocked. If I set up a claim, are they unable to enter it unless they are in my party? That...well, that seriously creates problems. x_x

You are correct, only to get it to save you need to press the buy button before closing the window and it will save the privileges you have given to whatever color

Ah! I tried that, but no friends or on so I could not test it, but the checks never stayed when I switched colors so I was not sure. Much appreciative for the response!

Now people can't jack my leather...until they get vandalism and theft, that is. >.>

If you check some boxes in green, go to blue and check some boxes, then go back to green, the green will appear to have no checkmarks. I guess I should've checked to see if that's been reported as a bug before rather than ignoring it and continuing on... Anyhow, it does save; it just doesn't display right. Clicking the "buy" button is not necessary to save changes. Simply check off the options you want and close the permissions window. Open it again and you should see your changes saved.

To test to see if it's working or not, have your friends try to enter your claim, but make sure you aren't in a party. If you're partied, they gain full access to your claim.
