What's the deal with rabbits?

In about 10 hours of playing total in W4, I havent been able to find a single rabbit, on three characters.
Do you need a certain lvl of PERxEXP to see them now, or?

It can hardly be luck, in 10 hours, and im pretty sure I've had all terrain types, too.

Prolly they're hiding themselves to protect themselves not to get eradicted

Less Rabitts yes (but still enough around - got 6 today) and also less boars (thank you great creators)

During the night it's almost impossible it seems to find animals lol.

During the day, it's not too hard.. just..harder? I still see a good bit of bunnies. Not near as many as I used to though..

There are very few. Over several days me and my two friends only found a dozen or so. Luckily managed a few herds of auroch so we don't need the little buggers for leather anymore.
