Why don't I get full lp from killing animals?

So here's the deal, i heard people saying how they get about 36k of LP from a single bear, others saying they get 7k from a boar. I just killed a X bear and got 3900 LP and from level VII boars i get around 2k.
So, is everyone else just lying or am i doing something wrong?

PS My Traditon/Change slider is at full Change.

I'd imagine you're losing aggro on the animals. That decreases the lp gain when you kill them.

If the animal gets out of combat, you lose a portion of the LP equivalent to the amount of their health you'd damaged.

The other thing is the Peaceful/Martial bar, if you're full Peaceful you get another 60% on top of the 300% that full Change gives.

I see, but still that's quite a loss. I mean i lost aggro about 3-4 times on the bear, out of 36k LP a 3900 is a disgrace.

you lost the lp gain for the hp you damaged each time you unaggrod its a fair method to prevent people slowly chipping away at animals

Strange I have killed two bears and only get 6-9 k on each kill.
They were aggro on me all time.

Their levels are always the same now.
