How to How to HEEEELP PLEASE!!!

Listen I really want to like this game and see that it has a lot to offer, but I have no idea how to start, most the guides here are not very simple a generally skip steps, meaning they are not very detailed... Here the thing, I simply want to know. Me and my girlfriend are going to start to play this game together, my question is, how the heck do we do that, the game starts you of in a forest all alone... How do we find one another and how do we join a village, I just been walking around the woods for hours lost!

Also to play together one of you must make a "Hearth Secret" and the other must create a new character there by right clicking the stairs in the spawn cave.

OK thanks, so its not a real open world then, I mean if I wanted to come visit you in the game I could not just simply travel to your village some how? Also why it when my girl logs onto this game she simply gets a white screen? She has the newest java

The world is big and the population is small so you're not going to be able to "pay visit" to someone's village (much less now that the world just started) at least not until you two set up and get the basic stuff done.

There's a "How to get started" guide on the wiki, use it. Check for every item/skill you find in game and don't know it's use, that's the way to learn.

try getting help with the white screen at "bugs". Here we generally deal with problems while playing the game.

Later in the game, you can build crossroads at your village. If you exchange crossroad signs, you can jump from one to the other. You still have to travel all the way there to deliver your sign and pick up theirs first. It also costs Travel Weariness (TW), the cost goes down by having high Agility. Otherwise, the only way to visit is walk there, go by boat or make a new character
