Does quality effect LP gain?

Postby Fiction_Stick » Tue Jan 18, 2011 5:10 am

Does the quality of an object being made affect the LP you gain from it? For example if someone has 1 carpentry and is crafting a bucket, do they get less LP then someone who has 200 Carpentry and is crafting high quality buckets?

Probably a stupid question. But I was just curious. :D

(I guess buckets are a bad example because they appear to not have a quality. But whatever, hopefully you get the point.)

Buckets are actually a pretty good example. They seem to be improved by both the level of your carpentry and the level of the boards you're using to create them. (Alongside your carpentry and the quality of your saw)

It's a good rule of thumb to assume higher quality materials will give you more LP, with certain recipes being oddly low. For example 2 LP from making a wineglass and 250~ from a wine bottle with the same quality materials.

Uh, that's because the LP is based on the quality of the item you create, and Carpentry softcaps board ql and bucket ql.
