Delete Character

Hey, i accidentally exited the start area before taking the stuff in the chest.

Is there any way to delete my character so i can start over?

The only way is to create a new character. Or travel on with your current character in nekkidness for a while and replace the stuff as soon as possible.

The only way to delete a character is to kill it, and you cannot reuse the name.

you could try making nettle shirt and pants

there's no penalty to having no clothes btw, except people laughing at you

There is to having no shoes, you'll keep taking dmg as you walk around.

Kill yourself via fauna or swimming. Even then you'll have to make a new character as if you hadn't killed yourself.

There is to having no shoes, you'll keep taking dmg as you walk around.

Thorn in Foot is only true on Forest terrain types. If you're on non-forest terrain you'll be okay. Stick to that grassland.
