What world am I on?

Hey guys,

I just started playing and I am having fun, but I want a friend to join me. The thing is, I didn't choose a world when I started so I was wondering what world I am on? I am assuming world 4, which is the newest correct? The second thing is, how do you find someone in this world? Is there some kind of map or what? Thanks!

There is no server list, world 4 is just the newest world after world 1, 2 and 3 preceding it were wiped.

There is no means of actually finding other people other than happening upon them in the world, joining your friends via hearth secret at the character creation room, or partying up with your kin and following the arrow.

Okay thanks, we were able to party up and are currently working on finding each other. Is there any kind of world map? I just wanna get a feel for how big this world is.

if you just started, you should restart with a hearth secret spawn, one of you sets a hearth secret, and the other makes a new character and types the friend's hearth secret to the guy in the corner and use the stairs to get out

Sabinati is right, even if you think you've made some progress with your character, the world is large. It could take you more than a day to all travel to find each other, longer without boats. Might be a crazy adventure, but you're better off creating new characters together by one person making a hearth secret and the others joining him from the character creation room with new characters.
