is ingame time equal to realtime? and when increasing personal beliefs, does the timer only go down when your player is active? i tried afking for 2 hours, the timers didnt go down at all.

I'm completely guessing the numbers, but an in game day is around 3-6 hours. Your character goes into idle mode after about 20 minutes of no activity and your personal beliefs stop counting down.

those who read the full reply, sorry for my blathers

afk usually doesnt actually help, since you need to be active unless your toon goes into well, afk mode. it gets a zzzz above its head and wont regen or change anything (unless attacked!)

1 IRL day = 3 IG days.
Personal Beliefs increases while your character is online, no matter is it active or standing still doing nothing.
