About heathland again

Postby Juanito » Fri Jan 21, 2011 4:27 pm

I've settled near a heatland area because i thought it wasnt need to plow there to plant crops, even wikia says it's not needed, but when finally i got my first seed i noticed i couldnt plant without plowing.

Am i missing something? or it has been changed?
Halp plx i hate plowing

Taken from wikia:

Heath (or Heathland) is purple/pink and brown in color and can only be found naturally around the map. Herds of Mouflon, Auroch, and Chicken flocks can spawn on it. It is identical to Grassland, except that heath can spawn Blueberries.

Inkweed, Four-Leaf Clover, Wild Windsown Weed and Blueberries can be found on heath.

]Also, Heath doesn't need to be plowed in order to plant crops or pave roads.

Maybe a silly question, but do you have the farming skill?

Can't trust all information on a wiki to be correct.

Why would people build farms anywhere else but heaths if they didn't need to plow there.

The planting stuff is bullshit on the wiki, every terrain needs to be plowed to farm there. You can however pave any grassland or mudflats without plowing them first.

Plowing is ok, what bothers me is once it starts to decay and u have one hole here, one there. That just fuc**** annoys me. U have to either plow it all again or keep up picking-dropping the plow again and again. Guess i'll have to quit farming

You could always use a shovel for these single spots.

meh...might be but when theres noone around you (small fry keep popping up but end up dead in a matter of a day or two) and you dont have enought perception to find rustroot.... its pretty damn impossible to find metal, iv seen a cave or 2 but cant mine there (says walls too hard)
i got like a log cabin, 2 timber houses and building a stone mansion right now, the straw will take a few days but i still need those 5 bars >.<
