Is there any SAND in world 4? I searched for HOURS but no luck.

In the character creation room there is some sand, just create an alt and dig the sand before spawning at your HF.

there is... just keep exploring rivers (try to reach small lakes as they have a good chance of having a beach)

You must be extremely unlucky if you searched for hours and didn't come across a single beach. 5 of the 8 lakes I've discovered so far around my home have at least 1 beach on them.
