OK good, glad I know, then I wont invest in this, considering I only build things for the exp so I can put it in marksmen

For the production-based skills, it increases quality of the resulting product. For example, if you raise carpentry, you get higher quality boards.

The formula is a really big one and is also affected by the quality of the materials/tools you use as well. I suggest you check the wiki to make sure.

Exploration determined, along with perception, which forageables you can see. For example rustroot can be seen at 600 per*exp. For the values of the rest of the forageables, check the wiki.

Stealth, along with Intelligencemakes your scents (left after comitting a crime) harder to locate. As opposed to Perception, along with Exploration, which make it easier to locate other's scents.

As for combat skills, it simply increases the damage you do with said style.

Hope that clears things out.
