Sleeping?

When I try sleep on my spruce bed it doesn't log me out like it says it should in the sticky. Instead I see 2 sprites(1 of my character standing, one of the sleeping guy) on the bed, and every button in the game does nothing except options > quit. Is this normal? If so can I wake up without quitting then logging back in? Will my guy keep sleeping if I quit or do I have to keep the client running?

You're lagging. The character will keep sleeping if you quit.
