Gate placing?

i made a palisade and its corners are 2 spaces apart but it says i cant make it T.T

is space between cornerposts and one tile forward-backward paved?

You may want to post a screenshot if that doesn't work. Also, palis are different from fences, gates are 1 tile long.

Yep, to make a palisade, you need to pave two tiles on either side of the line. It's kind of like a path style thing, if you can imagine that. Two squares either side of gate.
