What stats to hunt without traps or boats.

Alright so lets say I wanted to hunt a boar without trapping it or using a boat. What have people found is the minimum sling quality and perception*marksmanship you would need.

Why would you multiply your Perception by your Marksmanship? You know, if you do a little research you can figure out how each of these things plays its part in Marksmanship attacks instead of inventing crazy guesses.

Anyways, you could do it with a 5ql Sling and 10 MM (perhaps even lower, but it's slow as fuck even at 10 MM so I wouldn't bother with lower), and you don't need any Perception to kill a boar. Just note that the effects of your MM are capped at twice your sling's ql, so with only a 5ql sling, it wouldn't be useful to have any more than 10 Marksmanship (5 x 2).

You'll want to shoot the boar until it starts running, and then chase after it and punch it until it dies. You don't need any UC for this because animals (and people) have 0 defense while they are running away with no combat action queued. With only 10 str this will take about 4 punches, so it might help to bring a waterflask with you to restore stamina by drinking water. When you run at speed 3, you run slightly faster than a boar so you can catch up to them.
