Foraging. You can get them later via hunting, but that's a ways down the road when you're able to kill larger animals.

Nettle, spindly taproot are basic thread. Find them foraging. Good luck.

dont try to fight with animals yet, though you can punch bunnies and chickens to death with 5 or so UA

to catch a bunny or chicken, stand next to it, keep 2x2 slots in inv open, select run ! that is very important to set speed to run first ! then right click bunny or chicken. It will appear in the 2x2 slot in our inventory. wring neck, butcher, done

UA doesn't matter for rabbits or chickens. The punch skill automatically kills them (assuming you're close enough) as soon as it hits. Doesn't even do damage as far as normal combat is concerned. They just die.

actually, rabbits and chickens have health, but due to their peaceful nature they cannot attack, and since punches do so much damage it isn't noticable

same with all animals, while fleeing the defence bar is useless

what you'll find is that it takes some time before you can kill punch a chicken. the lower your UA is the longer it will take before you can kill them in 1 hit again, so you might wanna get your UA up bit anyway. maybe you can keep punching if your str is high enough, but if you can raise str, you can raise UA
