I can't remember, is it 8hrs or 12hrs before a freshly killed animal decays to skeletons...?

Don't know how long it takes but animal skeletons definitely decay too.

I would say somewhere between 18-36 hours, but I do not know for sure.

Yeah sorry I didn't know what we were talking about.

It takes 8 hours for an animal to decay into a skeleton, and then possibly another IRL day for the skeleton to decay.

I think the same applies for corpses, so you have an 8 hour window to get your swag back if you get mauled before it spills all over the ground.

Nope. It's 3-4 Hours before your corpse turns into a skeleton.
