Battleaxe or Soldier's sword?

Hi.
What should I use? I dont care about steel needed to make b12 axe.
I know that with sword I can use shield maneuver which is preety good , but axe can do more dmg.

For a b12 you'll need a higher UA than if you would use a sword and shield, where you would need only melee combat.
