Well, that sucks, becausee you need metal to build a mine support and my village has no metal.

Make an alt, grind up lp, mine, die, and be glad you can get supports now.

A little side suggestion, try searching things up before you post. There has already been 2 or 3 threads about this.

It shouldn't cave-in if you are not standing on a mined out tile. Also the presence cave-in boulders will make cave-ins much more likely.

I hope your talking about a natural cave then and didn't just build a mine hole somewhere without even prospecting, it'd be a massive waste of resources and effort. If it's a cave grab an alt and mine one tile out of the wall every now and and again wherever you can till you hit ore.
