I died, need help to get home

I reincarnated. Only I accidentally went down the trap door instead of the ladder, and now I'm in the middle of nowhere. Can I just kill the current character off and reincarnate off my old character, or is there another way to get back to my hearth fire? So far, looking at the map hasn't brought me any luck. All I know now is that my character is in a village named Apotropaic Liminality and the village closest to my old hearth fire started with an S, and was one word. Senuzgada, something like that.

So, anyone have any tips to get me back?

You'll have to find a way back by foot or boat. When you went through the trapdoor your hearthfire likely went out.

No time to make one, just started yesterday. Was busy foraging when a boar got me. It was a really weird boar though. It had a roman numeral next to it's name, and it actually killed me, whereas before when I got attacked by the boar it just killed all my SSHP then wandered off.

They all have level markers, but it's set to the animal. Also, whether or not they kill you is random. Sometimes you luck out, sometimes your luck runs out.

Same thing happened to me. Isn't there anyway to get back? I remember my heart fire was in a village called bee and i couldnt respawn there for some unknown reason. There has to be a way to get back maybe?

If your hearth fire isn't working, then you'll have to find your old and new locations on the big map Algeralith has and then start trekkin'.

Thanks for the help you guys. Didn't find my old place, but took the chance to find a better one. Back to where I was skill-wise before death, though I have a smaller food stockpile than I'd like.

If I were you I'd just start anew. You'd probably spend more time finding your old location than you spent building it.
