Prospecting Pie Slice

What does it mean?! It pops up at random, and never seems to point me to any metal. Ever.

You're following the wide end, not the pointy end, right?

Also got a feeling its bugged. While in cave you can get a pie slice pointing wall, if you move towards the area and dig then there is no minerals when prospecting again. Sometimes even moving towards the slice and not even going into the wall the mineral dissapears when prospected again. Also tried moving towards the arrow pointing direction and same result. It seems the prospecting is completely random atm. Sometimes accidentally points on mineral but most of the times its just false alarm.

Foot, it's telling you about minerals in the next layer down.

Correct. I'm following the 'pie slice', not the 'arrow'. It worked ONCE for me, once.
