Loss of learning ability after death?

Postby Deborah » Mon Jan 31, 2011 6:19 am

Hello,

I just died on accident. My learning ability was almost 360 and now it is back to 149.
My "peaceful" is full though. I have a sickening feeling that I will never be able to get to 360 again if I can no longer move the slider anymore.

Is there another way to raise my learning ability? Or should I kill myself and start over without inheriting my ancestor?

Peaceful only accounts for +20% learning ability. A full change slider will multiply your learning ability times 3.

ok so I am still new to the game.

But then what do I do to get my learning ability back to 360%?

Does it gain over time? Or how many objects I make?

Keep changing your beliefs every 8 hours. Go nature or barbarian or whatever you want. Every change you make should also increase your learning ability up to 360%.

ok thank you.

So dieing and inheriting your ancestor so you have their beliefs will now hurt you and give you a lower cap of something? You can still get it back up as you go along?

I don't know I've never died and inherited a new character but from your description I'm assuming that it keeps your personal belief sliders from your ancestor, but resets the tradition/change slider to neutral.

no
tradition/ change is not neutral either. it is a hit or two on the "change" area

When you die all sliders stay the same, except the change/tradition slider gets resetted to prevent abuse. You will still be able to move it towards change every x hours, depending on what the mouse over text in your belief screen is telling you.

thank you everyone. I had no idea no matter what I give the point to in the beliefs area I still get some learning ability.
I feel relieved I can still get up to 360 and won't be capped at like 190 for dieing.
