What does q of slings is influenced by

The wiki page is somewhat contradicting, first it mentions that sling q is unaffected by Survival and instead is affected by Marksmanship (at least from what I understood), while on the other sentence it says it's capped by Survival. Also it says that quality is determined by average string quality, does that mean leather quality is irrelevant?

The leather matters. It's the average of the leather, averaged against the average of the string. Survival softcaps the quality. Marksmanship is only a factor when crafting bows and ranger bows.

Thanks for fast answer. Someone should make wiki's page easier to understand. Also from what I gather formula for quality (before softcapping) is (avgLeatherQ+avgStringQ)/2 and not just flat average q of all components, right?

Interesting. "Quality does not increase with survival, which means you can only raise quality only if you`ve raised your MM." This was mentioned on the new wikia. This seems completly incorrect to me. I would ignore this sentence. Also the fact that the article ignores the leather portion leads me to think the entire article is flawed. I would recommend you always cross check facts from the new wikia and the old. The old article on the old wikia looks a lot more accurate. Hell, at least THAT mentions the leather in the formula.

Ehh I run adblock, so I guess I never noticed the ads at all. Still would much rather have a frequently updated and correct source of information than a tidy and wrong one.

If you see something wrong with the wiki then fix it
