Mining question

So i found a mine but its Q14 and my axe is only Q7. How do i find higher quality branches+stones? I leveled up my exploration and survival over 10 and still get Q10 branches/stones. I also have all the skills for mining.

You can get better stones at some places in caves, or as a byproduct of smelting. As for branches, you have to grow better trees.

You can also sometimes find higher quality stones on mountains, just dig in the ground.

Afaik, like clay, digging up stones isn't affected by any skills.

Do note, however, that you can now make yourself a Q10 axe. Slightly better, but still nothing awesome.

you need to grow your own trees if you want a q above 10 for branches
