Ranging questions

Postby Scwog » Wed Feb 02, 2011 8:37 pm

Hello,

Well ,few of them:

Knowing that ranging helps to find the thiefs hearth fire ,and the stolen items :

1-If some one steals a roasted meat ,and eat it ,what can the ranger track ?

2-If the stolen object is a board ,used to build a boat ,will the boat be trackable ?

3-If the thief plays as a vagabond ,destroys his hearth fire so he can't be summoned ,and steals/destroys things for trolling ,how can he be punished ?

more questions next time .

Criminals without hearthfires can be spawned anywhere.

Dunno about the other two, but I'm assuming it'd just display a "this item no longer exists" message or something. Seems overkill for the server to be tracking items within items, but I could be wrong.

Depends on the crime. Physical crimes (murder/battery/assault) appear anywhere in the world regardless of claim. Also, if you destroy someone's hearthfire you will leave a vandalism scent (unless the hearthfire is within your claim).

And no.

Okey thx,

Some other ones :

-Is there any sort of skill that gives the ability to jump above walls for serious trespassing ?

-If some one kills a thief ,will he leave a scent ?

-With 100% in tradition ,the new hearthling can inherit all his ancestors LP ,what about items and clam

There is any normal way of jumping over walls aside from glitches and exploits. An option though is if they have a mine or cave at their village, you can actually mine to their location if it is unprotected.

Killing a thief still leaves scents regardless of the purposes or reason.

Claims remain, items are left on the corpse which decays in 2 hours and all of the contents are scattered. Also full tradition only inherits 75% of the stats and skills, not 100%.
If you keep focusing on the shadow behind, you will not see the light in front of you.

Being successful isn't just about hard work and succeeding, it is also about picking yourself up when you fail.
