Palisade placing

If i build an initial cornerpost at this location would i be able to secure it completely? I cannot build it any closer to the slope. At the moment, i can go pass the construction site, between the sign and the slope, so i suppose it won't be secured when finished as well, right? I tried to build it exactly by the slope (like the paved site to the West) but i failed, it's too close i guess. WHere should i build this thing?

If you can walk between the construction sign and the bank, then you will be able to walk around the finished palisade.
Some of the banks are harder to secure against than others.

You can hold shift and place the post to put it right up to the bank, but... this may cause serious problems when you come to make a gate later as it will be very unlikely to line up with any other independently placed cornerposts.

The other option is to use a different edge of the bank to build against.
