Leeches

Postby niltrias » Wed Jun 03, 2009 1:36 am

I know that leeches are supposed to eat 10 shp, and then restore 1 hhp. if you dont have enough shp, they start eating hhp.
But Id like a little more clarification on how to use them, if anyone knows.
I have 25 shp and 25 hhp. I am at about 90% full. I attacked 2 leeches, planning to go to 5 shp and 27 hhp.
They both bloated, but i didnt notice any loss of shp or gain of hhp.
Any ideas?

Edit - on second try, i got 1 hhp.....and by the way, my max hp is 44

You'll find sometimes you lose a lot with no hp gain, and then get 2 at once. My guess on how it works is that each slot counts individually, and when you lose 10 soft HP due to leeches in one equipment slot, you gain 1 hard HP.

i also dont know it exactly, but with your conditions, i suppose you go full leeches and put them off as soon as you dont have enough shp anymore - like 5 shp or something

More precisely, each leech actually just eats 3 SHP, and for each SHP eaten has a 1 in 10 chance of restoring 1 HHP. In other words, not every leech will restore and HHPs.
