Can't build an ore smelter

Hello,

I would like to build an Ore smelter. The wiki says that you need only mining, then it becomes available under Build>Construction>Ore Smelter.

Yet I do have the skill "Mining", but no available Ore Smelter. I tried searching around the web or the forum and couldn't find an answer.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

I think you also need metal working. I'm pretty sure, anyway.

The wiki is actually wrong about quite a few things, is vague about other things, and is spot on about some things.

Ah, this makes sense, as they are composed of brick.
