help! how do i get out of a boat

ok so i found a boat on the shore and i used it to look around for any rabbnits or something along the shore i found a herb and i don't know how to get out of the boat i've tried left clicking on my self right cliocking double clicking clicking on shore what do i do? :(

ctrl + left click on the shore
