Silkmoth lifespan

So, I let a moth loose in my little house for my amusement. How long do I have until it despawns and I am sad?

Until the map it's in is unloaded from the server.

unloading map can already happen by leaving your house for a second. you still could store it in a container if you leave. it survives 24h there
