Bees Wax

Hey

Sorry if this has been posted before, but I did a search and couldnt find any topics on wax (which seemed a tad odd). I dont quite understand how bees wax works, I have 6-8 hives surrounding my crops, and I have a few different types of crop (around 10 I recon), and I harvest and plant some of them every night at the moment, but my bees NEVER give me wax, I get honey semi regularly but have only had wax once. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to get more of it? or why its so rare?

The more crops you have in the beehive's circle, the more wax it produces. If you have two hives covering the same area, the time it takes to produce a piece of wax is ~double, compared to if you had just one hive. Eventually both of the hives will produce a piece of wax, but by that time you would've gotten two pieces of wax from just one hive.
The best setup for wax is to have one hive and plant the hive's circle full of crops.
