Decay rates of logs.

Postby Lordpuffbud » Sat Feb 05, 2011 6:49 pm

I clear cut a forest to make way for our city size addition, unfortunately some logs had fallen in unsightly places such as in the middle of cliff sides, in between buildings and in some cases on the buildings themselves, as in they are showing up at the door making it hard to enter

I was wondering what the decay rates of logs were if they decay at all, thanks :)

Well, they should.

A RL week or so. Preverbly seeding the surrounding ground with a higher change of finding (relative to ground type) plant resources around it.
Or maybe sprout some new Tree's.

You are more likely to find stumps than logs due to bucket grinders.

If you keep focusing on the shadow behind, you will not see the light in front of you.

It'd still be nice if they decayed slowly though, due to some of them ending up in inaccessible spots.

Horrible idea unless we get proper stockpiles. Just calculate where the trees in your area will fall before you start building shit.

Make them decay only if they have never been lifted. Problem solved :p

They shouldn't make logs decay unless trees start growing naturally as they should.

Never lifted ... lol. That should work perfect.

Also.
Claims protect stuff from decay, so they could also protect logs ... for the time being.

If you still don't have a claim. Drop then next to your bed in your house.
No house yet ... start building one.

No more tree's ... start planting them.

... anyway ... Any log I come across ... is gone anyway.
