Destroy a Palisade COrnerpost

Hey there. I accidently misplaced my palisade-cornerposts with a gate (stupid me ). The problem is it kinda blocks my path and cannot be used alternatively (such as a wall in itself).

The questions is when can a palisade be damaged? I spent all day beating the crap out of it using like 30 pots of tea. I get the feeling not doing any damage at all Well, my strength is only at 35 (with bear cape) and I use a pickaxe. Is it possible I'm not doing even damage and if, what stats and weapons would I need to actually rip that annoying thing apart? Thanks in advance

You need at least 40 strength to dent a palisade with a pickaxe.

Cornerposts have 8 soak, IIRC, so you'd need at least 70 to dent with a pickaxe. Regular ones have 6 soak, so you'd need 50 str + pickaxe for the other.

Not sure at all, this is just what I've heard. Haven't been tested.

Well, it makes sense. Just rip apart a regular fence in comparison to a fence cornerpost. It takes longer (if you have little enough skills to see a difference that is ).
I guess it's time for a little bear hunting then to get my strength up^^ Gah, you just always get distracted by miles from what you originally intented to do
