Does stone paving decay (outside claims)?

Postby themendios » Thu Feb 10, 2011 4:54 am

I've seen yellow/red/black pavings and I'm not sure if they're gold/brick/??? or if its decay?

I can't figure out the term to search for since stone brings up stonechips etc and paving just brings up mostly stuff with the answer "plant grass" and the wiki isn't much help.

Stone paving does not decay.

The red and black are brick for sure. I think the yellow is brick too. You can pave the ground with bricks (which are made from clay in a kiln) if you have Masonry.

Well that's a relief cuz I just built a longass cart path to the nearest clay.

Why aren't there more roads? Are people just that centered on their claims or afraid to go out or what? I have seen zero roads anywhere, it's like you just try to put a claim down on top of everything you need (which is impossible) and boat for the rest?

Everybody is afraid of creating paths because they think griefers are going to follow these paths to their farm-villa-whatever.

Sad to know that is true.

Well they probably will, but hiding in the woods leaving no trace is somewhat boring imo I doubt making a path is any more dangerous than being anywhere close to a body of water which is a huge inconvenience by itself.

Actually while I'm here - do you take running stamina drain on a cart on paved road? I am not really certain since it forces you to run.

No, running is free of stamina drain while using a cart. (Honestly that makes no sense, one of the few illogical things about this game)
