Plaice....

I was catching plaice in some lake shallows yesterday and now I'm catching nothing but pike using the same bait and same area. Kinda furious about that, seeing as plaice is the only decent source of perception when you can't hunt deer or get carrot cakes, etc. Why aren't I catching any plaice anymore?

Because the only way to get decent perception when you have no means of getting deer and carrot cakes is by eating plaice. And perception is one of the most useful stats. And you have to wait DAYS to fish plaice again.

Hey carrots ain't that bad, getting them over q20 is easy peasy and they grow really fast. Give them some credit.

Yes, I know carrots grow really fast. but I don't really enjoy having to eat 25 to gain a level. Aphids aren't really a ready source of it either, as raiding ants nests can be a pain, and you don't always get aphids. And lets not go into the fact that beetroots give half the FEP for perception that carrots do.

Unless you live by a lake's shore Plaice isn't too easy to get either. Besides unless you have to fill like 50 FEPs q10-15+ carrots give you an excellent per boost.
