Cattle not doing "it". Food eaten not increasing.

Well we've got ourselves a pair of cattle. They're penned up in an "okay" sized pen (not too small, not too big) and they've got a lot of q20+ food in troughs in range..

They refuse to breed.

How long does it take for the to finally go for it?
Is the bull gay?
Is the cow infertile?
Do i have to watch them or are they shy?

In addition to this: why isn't the "food eaten" part in the cattle info rising each time they eat something? The troughs are losing food each time they eat something, shouldn't that raise the Food eaten part?

The cows will adjust their pregnancy parameters when they're damn good and ready. The amount of time seems to vary (I've had them immediately go at it and sometimes it takes quite a while - it's like watching water boil).

As for food eaten, I've recently noticed the same thing and did dig around and found out that it's the average of their food intake in their lifetime. It's been slowly but steadily rising for me, though I had assumed it was because mine had been fed on a lot of q10 apples/mulberries/etc. I honestly have no idea whether it's normal or not.
