Line of sight & walls

If you have a full wall up (pal or brick) and someone is outside with a bow/sling are you safe or can rocks/arrows be shot from outside in? If the wall does protect you are there any bugs with corner posts or other glitches that can let people fire in that noobs should be aware of?

wall doesnt protect you (from arrows). with ender client (bigger screen+zoom) its a very big range for snipers. still: the further you are away and the harder it is to aim - stay moving and if you afk log out or at least stay in a house
