Continuously heading west following the bank of a river spotting countless abandoned camps, empty baskets, and leantos, I feel as if my journey has grown impossible. I haven't seen another human since the unfortunate death of my anonymous friend. Thoughts spring into my mind if that is a good thing, or a bad thing.
Further: I have stumbled across a small hut, it is vacant! A sleeping man resides in one of two huts. As he slept i silently broke in and stole "A beautiful dream" from him, as i used mine, This should come in handy. He contained a cart of his own but i didn't bother taking that one as they would crash and one would stop in its place. After investigating his other hut i made no hesitation to leave in search for a village, or another unlucky sleeper.
Furthermore: As I was forced to change directions due to the river turning southbound I had lost total faith in ever finding a village, Then at bottom left of my map, I see walls surrounding a village! rushing my way to front gates I was determined I had finally found my home. Then I dropped to my knees. The village had been attacked, and raided.. Dead bodies riddled in the streets and the only standing home empty.. My hopes stooped to almost nothing, I turned my cart around and continued my long journey. As I continued to head south, I saw a village on the OTHER side of the river, This sight was unbearable as I cannot swim nor make a boat. This village had to have been big, according to the map it contained a castle! But as I continued south searching for a possible way around, I saw abandoned guard posts. Could this too, be attacked? Or at least abandoned?
Close call: As I was traveling my determined path down the river I heard a shifty noise into the trees. Hoping it would be a small animal, such as a rabbit, or mouse to feast upon. Then I got closer; and out of the foliage charged a boar. Tusk's sharp as razors clashed onto me, I was too weak for this fight, I tried to run, but the boar had knocked me over. Beginning to trample me. Dazed i was laying on the ground, barely clenching onto the little life i had left. I noticed the boar walked a few feet away. Giving me the opportunity to sprint over to my cart and maneuver around the boar's path. Letting me live for another time. As I reached a dead end my heart sank. I eventually got around to setting up camp and waiting until the next morning to continue my long, horrible travels.
