How rare is rustroot?!

My perception is 20 after spectacles, and my exploration is 30. I should be able to see at least some rustroot, but after wandering around for more than an hour, searching forests like the wiki says, I have yet to find one lonesome root.

Rustroot is quite uncommon at that level, spam more carrots and get around 1200ish to see it more often

he's right. at your current per*expl rr are very rare. with ~1200 you should be able to see a decent amount if you'r' scouting a bit

i've found 3 in an hour of walking around with 900 (30 - 30)

Rustroot is the bane of newbies. It is so common that it's painful to the rest of the world, as it blights our screen with orange cracks everywhere. Meanwhile, for anyone who hasn't been playing for a week, you'll never see it. Ever.
If you plan on being a pearl harvester, cavebulb hunter, or general forager then get your exploration up to 50. That's a good benchmark if you do not have tons of perception food available to you yet. With that much exploration, you'll be able to find rustroot without any problems; and just think, when your perception gets higher you'll be able to see it every 5 tiles like us too! Life will be wonderful.
