Now what? (Taming)

Postby anasky » Sat Feb 12, 2011 2:35 pm

Hello everybody :)

So, I fenced all the mouflons of the herd (and yes, I do intend to tame all of them).
But what now? I read http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/Taming and viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5786&p=65688, but should I fight a mouflon to get the Initiative Points or...?
Image

Thanks in advance, Anasky

Uhhhh, go do exactly as the guides say?

Yeah you enter a fight when you start gathering IP from calling thunder, though you don't actually do any damage to the animal.

i fear you will not survive at your current armor (at least get a boar helmet)
you can call down the thunder for distant init-gain

do you have all required skills, btw?

Just do what viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5786&p=65688 says.

Some things are just hard to understand xD (not english from birth btw)

I have all the skills he mentioned, yes.
I have a full-leather armor and no clue how to kill a boar due to its aggresiveness.

EDIT: Image
I got the IP, is there any way to continue without being hit (if their hits are like 20 or so, I don't really mind. but I read their around 70)

You should do as it says in the guide. Then you don't get hit at all...

Hmm, didn't see that part...
Well, I'll re-read it, thanks :)

Also, placing a kin in front of you also helps if you time your attacks right.

trick is to open the gate just after attack (lunge) and close it on the animal imediately, then stand back. it's now gated, cant move but you can reach it no problem
make sure you have a boat to run to for when you accidently let one escape
Learn from the mistakes of others. You won't live long enough to make all of them yourself.
