The LP a murderer gets is in no way related to the reincarnation of the dead character though. Only change/tradition slider influences it and a claim will indeed survive the death of a character so it can be used as an lp bank.
Yep Burgingham, after I made this thread Teck and I did a little research. Murder is 1% of total lp earned * learning ability, we already know that bit. If the alt puts all its LP into a claim and is then killed, it can get all the LP back by removing the inherited claim, same again. The important part was total lp
earned. A character with 36000 LP earned and about 30k of it stored it in a claim gave 360*LA. When the inherited character removed the claim to get that ~30000 LP, it gave less than 100 when killed, because the declaimed LP wasn't "earned" even though it was available to spend on skills or put back in the claim.

When we saw it was going off total LP including the claim rather than LP spent on skills or whatever I was worried we might have discovered a serious bug (claim-murder-inherit for unlimited LP), at least until we tested the second alt. At BEST this could be used to skim some LP off an alt that has no skills to lose from death, but you wouldn't be able to do it more than once for the character because the claim LP isn't added to the murder pool after inheritance.
