Are you sure? For a long time bears and boars ignored me.

Then one day I purchased hunting and this all changed. Or is there something else that kept them from attacking me?

Seriously, I could walk right up to them and stand there for as long as I wanted.

Whether they attack you or not is totally random. It's just a natural human tendency to try and find patterns in chaos, which is how superstitions are born. If then you spread them and they gain strength, they may grow into a religion.
