Does destroying a Hearth Fire kill the player?

Topic says it all. I have a hearthfire right next to some prime property, and I'd rather not kill someone for it.

anyway, it forces them to either relog or spawn in the wilderness, so it could help you

How do you destroy it? o_O It won't let me destroy a hearthfire because it's "Not my hearth".

It takes vandalism, and yes, it makes you leave summonable scents. You can freely destroy hearths on your own claim, though.

Just break your claim, claim the land the hf is on, break the fire, and then return your claim to your house. As long as you have walls, no one is going to break into your palisade, steal your things, and defile your crops while you're gone for all of 5 minutes.
