Bears extinct?

We are about to create a village but we cannot find a bear to kill anyone can tell me if we are just unlucky or its normal?

could be there are some veteran players that hunt them down and carry them home. maybe scout your neighbours and check if you could trade for them (like for linen, glue, leather, ropes)

I only saw 4 bears this world. Excluding bear carcasses brought back by my village members, of course.

I just stumbled upon one on a beach while typing this. Nope, they're far from extinct. Bleh.

Hunt more often/cover more ground, Ive seen 10 at least I think, and I rarely get out :p
