Unarmed vs melee

whats better for start hunting?? I leveled unarmed to 20 and now i have the chance to make knuckles or a sword, better make a sword and leveling melee? why?

knuckles are cool, they go in the glove-slot - so you can have them equipped even while you use your tools
i dont know what you want to use the weapons for, but sword needs some initpoints before you can launch it, while you can spampunch on and on (very cool in combination with bloodlust)

basicly, yes (for better chance to hit and more damage)
still i saw a nub that just spampunched an ant down, works also very nice againt archers (ever tried to sling an animal thats next to you? the spamattack you too, low damage but keeps you from aiming)

also bloodlust fills your attbar for every move your enemy does

And melee combat? not better? in the wiki swords have so much damage

By spam he means you don't need to build initiative to use the attack.
A sword is probably the better option of the two. Knuckles don't add very much damage, somewhere in the realm of +15 base, but even a crappy sword does 200+ damage. Lower their defense with unarmed then use your sword to kill the critter.
