Ox carts: how much space.

Postby Kipperdipper » Tue Feb 15, 2011 9:32 pm

I've read that ox-carts can't fit through a palisade gate. does this restriction apply to all 2 tile wide spaces or is it purely out of the fact that the gate gets in the way, and that if the gate wasn't there, it wouldn't cause trouble?

edit: Just brought ox-carting, and the shadow of the construction bit makes it look like it'd fit through a 2 tile wide gap, but still, confirmation on if its the gate being there or needing more then a gap of 2 wide would be lovely.

Gates are more like 1.8 wide I believe. So no, oxcarts don't fit, but I've been able to fit between 2 tile spaced trees.

Awesome.
because I have what is currently a 3 gap wide bit between where my palisade is being built, and a natural cliff.
then it occurred to me if someone was to build a palisade on the cliff-side, they could then build a gate and ultimate grief me by being able to control my in-out flow.
so I was thinking of building a palisade post, then sealing it, with no palisade walls coming out of it at all.

wasteful? maybe.
decorative? yes.
effective way of stopping a gate being built? definitely.

It's currently possible to make a gate that can fit wagons. ;)

It's no good if you're just going to tease them, at least post the method.
