Mining

Postby MikeySix » Thu Feb 17, 2011 12:26 am

My character mines a wall, hourglass drains several times, and I get nothing for the effort at all. No stone, no ore, nothing. Am I missing something? The tile will eventually disappear but I get nothing out of it except a drained stamina bar and a few LP.

Also, how rare is water in caves, because I need some cave clay.

If there's no stone, then there's jack to speak of at all. If you get nada, means there's not even a chance in that tile. I'm full nature, so all I get are stones when I mine. Kinda wasteful, come to think of it...

You only get a chance of mining something after each mining interval. You will get either rock or ore depending on of you manage to hit a deposit. The nature/industry slider does not matter in regards to extracting stuff from cave walls, only the chances of getting bars from ore.

Water in cave is relatively uncommon but not entirely rare. There is a chance it may be shallow or deep. Deep ones have fishing spots, shallow ones have cave clay deposit.

I guess it would help to say I'm full industry and still getting absolutely nothing.

When do you know you're going to get anything from a tile? When the hourglass empties completely or during it? Because I'd rather like to save my stamina.

Being full nature has nothing to do with getting ore during mining.

Actually tbh full nature is a lot more useful if you don't have access to minerals. Unless you LOVE making black bricks.

Which is moot since mineral deposits are everywhere.
