Clay nodes Q

Hi, i was wondering if a clay spot peaking in a mudflat, share its quality with the river areas nearby, so they can lower the quality of the peak spot.

are you sure? every time i see mudflats with clay right next to water, there is clay in the water as well.

I'm 99% sure that ball clay and acre clay come from the same node, and digging one drops quality of both.

It's in fact shared, one way to find nodes is to go searching thru a shallow water and then enter the mudflat if you found anything.

Also I saw people doing the same as the OP, claiming only the mudflat, to leave the shallow water with q30-40 clay available for any guy that go there (Only to get lower Q clay than the actual node, and to lower the max Q from the high spot for a while)
