I am new to this game, but I semi know the basics. I had died 3 times to the same person because they keep coming back and just annihilating me. I don't know what to do. I am trying to enjoy the game, but after 5 minuets he pulls up in his boat and then I am dead. I think he patrols the river I am living on.
What can I do?

there are many players in this game, and many dont like it if people get very close. neighbours are ok, if there is some space between, you know?
my advice, go somewhere else... or look in the forum part called dwarves and thieves if a village is recruiting inexperienced members
even then. i still advice you to read as many stickies as you can bear and do some reading in the wiki too
