Cave ins (Again)

Postby Mhi200 » Mon Feb 21, 2011 5:10 am

Just a few more questions on caveins:

Someone in another thread (I forget) was implying that cave-in rocks can't fall on the natural cave tiles. Does his mean that If I were to only mine one tile in I would be completely safe? (Until I get decent Constitution)

Also, does armor still take/block damage, or do cave ins cut straight to HHP?

Cavein's hit SHP through your armor. That is correct, cave-in's will not hit you.

So if I have 160/160/160, I must get hit by 8 rocks to die? Or 4? (I have been told they do 50 damage)

They do 50 damage each from what I understand.

I think there is something else involved. Got hit for 87 some days ago. 2 Hits I think. Apparently it plays a role which helmet you are wearing, maybe wall strength too. I have no definite answers here though.

Well, as long as I'm safe at the edge of the wall, then thats ok until I build up enough Con, seeing as I'll probably be doing it blind to start with anyway (No rustroot yet) The cave is huge also.

Hmm, interesting. I can't say this is something I can reliably test though.
